GOOGLE GLASS + ALZHEIMER'S

I've slightly been avoided doing a blog post for a little while now, mainly due to the fact that I have been spending way too much time on my laptop doing work. However I wanted to share one of the projects I am currently working on.

It's for a project that uses emerging technology, so as a team we picked Google Glass. Our idea is to use Google Glass as an aid for people with Alzheimer's Disease, by reducing stress, gaining independence, and helping remembrance in their everyday lives. This will be achieved by creating a cloud storage system which collects data and information throughout the day of the user and later linking up to an iPad app. The iPad app will then allow users to view their day and participate actives.

  1. My grandmother has Alzheimer. I hate to see her like that. She was always active n a very independent woman now she does not know if she ate, or went outside, where she is or what her name is. Sounds like a great idea. I just wonder if people suffering from this horrible issue, will want to leave it on, or don;t forget to wear it.
I wonder if it would confuse them even more. Since there is no cure for Alzheimer this might be a small step forwards, Thanks for sharing Emily.
